I used Cascade Alpaca Eco in charcoal. Not quite 7 skeins of it! Which means that I again have bought way too much. Let's just say I can knit a whole other girasole with the "left-overs". ;)
I used 6mm needles and blocked the blanket to roughly 1.7m diameter. It's supposed to be a bit larger but to be honest I don't think mine would have given me the extra even if I had had the space to do so (see yesterday about the space issue).
I found a couple of rather obvious mistakes in the blanket (both are actually there in the pics) and at first was rather annoyed about them but I have now decided that they make the blanket even more me. As I'm certainly not perfect...
Right, I'm off to cuddle with my new blanket. And yes, the temperatures a finally a little bit on the up. And I so don't care tonight!
:)

Oh my that is beautiful work! I would love to cuddle up under that this autumn.
I think that your Girasole is a beauty.. I would frame it:) My super clumsy self and 'chewy' dog would make holes in that blanket in one evening!
